"Nell' aria c'era un soffio promettente, e poi era Halloween, il Dia de los Muertos, che per me è sempre stato un giorno fortunato, un giorno di fine e di inizio, di venti cattivi e doni furtivi, di fuochi che bruciano nella notte. Un momento di segreti, di prodigi e, naturalmente, di morti...

Un momento magico, un momento di segreti e misteri, di sacchetti cuciti con la seta rossa appesi in giro per la casa così da tenere lontano il male, di sale cosparso, di vino aromatizzato e dolci al miele lasciati sul davanzale, di zucche, mele, petardi, di fumo di pino e legno dell' autunno che se ne va e del vecchio inverno che entra in scena"...

Un Halloween ispirato e tanto atteso. 

Trovo che non ci sia modo migliore per descriverne l'atmosfera. 

Queste poche righe tratte dal libro di Joanne Harris "Le Scarpe Rosse" sono perfette.

Autumn in my living room

Ho voglia di autunno, voglio vedere intorno a me il viola dell' uva, il verde dei fichi, l'arancio delle zucche, il rosso delle foglie cadute, il marrone delle castagne...
E voglio ritrovare tutto questo quando entro nella mia cucina, quando accendo le lucine e la stufa nel mio salotto e mi siedo sul divano con una tazza di vin brulè caldo tra le dita...
E quando esco, sento il profumo di legna bruciata, i primi camini che si accendono...
Semplicemente...adoro questi momenti!

Quest'anno, quindi, ho deciso di celebrare l'autunno con un paio di progetti che mi terranno impegnata fino ad Halloween. Una ricorrenza che mi piace molto, che trovo piena di fascino, storia e tradizione.
Ho appena finito di realizzare tre soffici zucche di stoffa, una gialla, una arancione e una rossa, simbolo per eccellezza della festività di Halloween ma anche dolcissimo dono della stagione autunnale.

Therefore, this year I decided to celebrate the autumn season with a couple of projects that will keep me busy until Halloween. An anniversary that I really like, I find full of charm, history and tradition.
I have just completed three soft fabric pumpkins, one yellow, one orange and one red. The pumpkin is a symbol of Halloween but also a very sweet gift of the autumn season.

Trovo che siano perfette per decorare la mia casa in questo periodo. I colori sono bellissimi!

A questo punto non mi resta che mettermi a lavoro, in questa settimana, per ultimare le decorazioni per la notte di Halloween. Ho una bellissima idea per i bambini che ogni anno vengono a bussare alla porta al suono di "dolcetto o scherzetto?"  ^_^

A soft break, with a cup of tea

I giorni appena trascorsi ci hanno definitivamente tuffato nel grigiore autunnale, si sono spenti tutti i bellissimi colori, avvolti in

questa patina di pioggia e nebbia... Devo dire che anche il mio umore è piuttosto ballerino...quello che mi servirebbe in questo momento è una bella tazza di the caldo alla vaniglia e tante stoffe colorate intorno a me per combattere la tristezza! Nascoste in un angolino della mia craftroom ci sono tre bellissime stoffe nei toni del giallo, arancione e rosso che mi serviranno per il prossimo progetto, che dovrà essere ultimato per forza prima della fine di questo mese! Ho in mente un paio di idee per decorare la mia casa in occasione della festa di Halloween, ma per ora non vi anticipo niente!

Mi ritaglio qualche minuto per fare il punto della situazione, visto che nelle ultime due settimane sono stata molto impegnata nell'organizzazione delle due fiere di Melegnano a cui ho preso parte.

Sono andate abbastanza bene e sono soddisfatta delle vendite e dei sempre graditi complimenti!

Se non siete riuscite a passare a trovarmi vi regalo comunque un paio di foto del mio allestimento ^_^

In the past few days we have finally dipped into the gray autumn, no more beautiful colors, wrapped in rain and fog ... I must say that my mood is pretty dancer ... what I'd need right now is a nice cup of hot tea with vanilla and many colored fabrics around me to get rid of sadness! Hidden in a corner of my craftroom there are three beautiful fabrics in shades of yellow, orange and red that I will need for the next project, that have to be completed before the end of this month! I have in mind a couple of ideas to decorate my house for the Halloween party, but for now there is nothing advance!
I cutout a few minutes to take stock of the situation, since in the last two weeks I have been very busy in the organization of the two street markets in Melegnano in which I took part.
Went quite well and I am satisfied with the sales and always welcome compliments!

Pensavo di aver terminato le fiere quest'anno e invece, tempo permettendo, dovrei partecipare ad un'altra data a Salerano sul Lambro, il mio paese, in occasione della Sagra della Madonna del Rosario che si terrà Domenica 19 Ottobre. La conferma definitiva ci sarà nei prossimi giorni, perchè in caso di maltempo probabilmente gli hobbisti non allestiranno.

Inoltre, sto seriamente pensando di preparare qualche idea regalo sfiziosa per il periodo Natalizio e prendere parte a qualche mercatino di Natale.

Parlando, invece, di ultime creazioni, volevo mostrarvi il regalo di compleanno che ho realizzato per una mia amica.

I thought I had finished the street markets this year and instead, weather permitting, I would take part in another date in Salerano sul Lambro, my country, on the occasion of the Sagra della Madonna del Rosario, that will be on Sunday, October 19th. Novità : il mio nuovo cestino porta oggetti

Oggi voglio mostrarvi in anteprima un'altra piccola collezione che ho creato per le fiere di Melegnano.

Si tratta di un nuovo modello di cestino porta oggetti realizzato con stoffe di lino, o cotone più pesante, fodera abbinata e imbottitura.

Sono 7 pezzi unici, ciascuno impreziosito da bottoncini e bellissimi charms.

Per questa collezione ho voluto utilizzare solo stoffa, e l'effetto è molto delicato e romantico. Ho già in mente di provare a realizzarli con l'interno in juta, quindi più grezzi e rustici.

Today I want to show you a preview of another small collection that I created for my street markets in Melegnano.

September News

Il mese di Settembre ha quest'aria frizzante, che pizzica il naso. Ci fa dimenticare troppo in fretta l'estate, le ferie, il riposo e ci fionda nei progetti d'autunno. I colori cambiano, arrivano i miei preferiti! E poi c'è l'attesa della festa di Halloween! E i miei amati mercatini!

Le Fiere di Melegnano sono un'appuntamento per me imperdibile, anche se quest'anno ho dovuto rinunciare a quella del mio quartiere...ma sono pronta per le ultime due, la Festa del Borgo (via San Martino) e la Festa della Cuntrada Lunga (via Castellini). Volete segnarvi le date? Domenica 28 settembre la prima e Domenica 5 ottobre la seconda.

Le mie mani hanno lavorato e stanno ancora ultimando alcuni ritocchi, qualche bottone, qualche charm. Sono pienamente soddisfatta della nuova collezione dei miei amati sacchettini di juta. Quest'anno ho fatto un vero e proprio servizio fotografico, per cogliere tutte le sfumature di queste bellissime stoffe!

Sono 14 pezzi unici, difficilmente riproducibili perchè le stoffe non si trovano tanto facilmente. 

Sono leggermente più grandi del sacchettino standard che ho sempre realizzato, ma penso che terrò questo nuovo modello, un pò più capiente e adatto ad ogni tipo di uso.

Molte di voi mi hanno chiesto, durante le mie fiere passate, se potevano avere dei sacchettini che si potessero anche chiudere. Avevo già realizzato un modello che si chiudeva con dei cappi formati con del nastrino di raso, ma per molte di voi risultava più che altro un sacchettino da appendere. 

Questa volta, invece, con le fascette in stoffa coordinata, il sacchettino resta perfettamente chiuso tramite asola e bottone, e quando è aperto le fascette ricadono all'indietro e non si vedono.

Un perfetto doppio uso!

Il tocco finale è dato da alcune immagini disegnate da me e realizzate con il feltro, che riprendono i disegni sulla stoffa. Sono semplicemente applicate con una spilla da balia, quindi facilmente removibili se non risultano di vostro gradimento! Oppure riposizionabili!

The street markets in Melegnano are an appointment for me not to be missed, although this year I had to give up the one of my neighborhood ... but I'm ready for the last two, the Festa del Borgo (Via San Martino) and the Festa della Cuntrada Lunga (via Castellini). My hands have worked and are still finalizing a few tweaks, a few buttons, some charm. I am fully satisfied with the new collection of my favorite bags of jute. This year I made a real photo shoot, to capture all the nuances of these beautiful fabrics! There are 14 unique pieces, difficult to reproduce because the fabrics are not so easily to find. They are slightly larger than the standard bag I've ever made​​, but I think I'll keep this new model, a little bit bigger and suitable for any type of use. Many of you have asked me, during my past street markets, if they could have little bags that you could also close. I had already made a model with the loops formed with the satin ribbon, but for many of you it was more than anything a little bag to hang. This time, however, with the straps in coordinated fabric, the bag stays securely closed with buttonhole and button, and when you open the straps fall back, not seen. 

A perfect double use! 

The final touch is given by some images designed by me and made ​​with felt, that reflect the designs on the fabric. They are simply applied with a safety pin, and then easily removed if they are not to your liking! Or repositionable!

Un assaggio di fiori...L'Acacia

Buon giorno ragazze,
Come anticipato, vi avevo promesso una ricetta un pò particolare ^_^

Lo scorso venerdì era una bellissima giornata di sole e io e il mio compagno abbiamo deciso di addentrarci in uno dei tanti campi intorno a casa nostra per raccogliere i profumatissimi fiori d'acacia.

L'acacia o Robinia pseudoacacia, è una pianta della famiglia delle Leguminose, originaria dell'America del Nord e naturalizzata in Europa e in altri continenti. Nelle nostre campagne è molto diffusa.
Fiorisce in aprile, così come il glicine, con fiori bianchi o crema, lunghi circa 2 cm, riuniti in grappoli pendenti dal profumo molto gradevole.
Per chi non lo sapesse i fiori d'acacia sono commestibili. Nelle campagne del Veneto e di altre regioni, vengono infatti consumati fritti in pastella dolce e conferiscono alla frittella un profumo soave e un sapore particolarmente squisito;
L'importante è non raccoglierli in zone inquinate. Non fermatevi sul ciglio della strada, nei parcheggi o in altre zone dove le macchine sono in continuo passaggio.
L'acacia, è anche una pianta altamente nettarifera e ha una grande importanza nell'apicoltura. Il miele di acacia è senza dubbio tra i più conosciuti ed apprezzati, ed è anche il miele monoflora più diffuso nei punti vendita; Alla base del gradimento universale che riscuote tra i consumatori sono il suo colore chiaro, il fatto che rimane liquido indipendentemente dalla temperatura, il suo odore leggero, il suo sapore delicato e la sua bassissima acidità; nessun altro miele monoflora possiede contemporaneamente tutte queste qualità.

E dunque cosa aspettiamo? cuciniamo insieme le Crepes ai Fiori D'acacia :)

Ingredienti :

FARINA - ZUCCHERO - LATTE DI MANDORLE - LIEVITO VANIGLIATO - FIORI D'ACACIA

Preparazione :

Staccare dai rami principali i vari grappoli.
Preparare una una bacinella con acqua e bicarbonato, perchè va bene che è tutta natura però meglio essere prudenti :)
e passare velocemente nell'acqua ciascun grappolo. Dopodichè, staccare ad uno ad uno i fiorellini. Riempire una ciotola e mettere da parte.
In un'altra ciotola mescolare 4 cucchiai di zucchero e 1 cucchiaino di lievito vanigliato per ogni 4 cucchiai di farina. Coprire il tutto con il latte di mandorle fino ad ottenere un impasto di media densità.
Aggiungere quindi i fiori d'acacia e mescolare bene.
Imburrare una padellina per crepes e versare un mestolo di composto alla volta.
Servire con cioccolata o marmellata a piacere.

...E' un dolce perfetto per un bellissimo risveglio il giorno del proprio compleanno :)

As anticipated, I promised you a recipe a bit special ^ _ ^

Last Friday was a beautiful sunny day and me and my partner decided to go into one of the many fields around our house to collect the fragrant acacia flowers .

The acacia or Robinia pseudoacacia , is a plant of the Leguminosae family, native to North America and naturalized in Europe and on other continents. In our lands is widespread.It blooms in April, as well as the wisteria, with white or cream little flowers , about 2 cm long , in clusters hanging, from the smell very pleasant .For the uninitiated acacia flowers are edible . In the countryside of the Veneto region and other regions , are in fact consumed fried in batter and give to the pancake a sweet fragrance and taste particularly delicious ;The important thing is not to collect them in polluted areas . Do not stop on the roadside , in parking lots or other areas where cars are constantly passing.The acacia, is also a plant highly nectar and has a great importance in apiculture . Acacia honey is undoubtedly one of the most famous , and is also the most common single-flower honey in the stores ; At the base of universal acceptance among consumers are its light color , the fact  that remains liquid regardless of the temperature, its delicate flavor and its low acidity ; no other single-flower honey at the same time possesses all these qualities.

ingredients: 
FLOUR - SUGAR - ALMOND MILK - BAKING POWDER VANILLA - FLOWERS OF ACACIA 
preparation: 
Remove the cluster from the branches.Prepare a bowl with a baking soda and water , because it's all natural but better to be safe :)and quickly jump into the water each cluster . Then , pull out one by one the flowers . Fill a bowl and set aside.In another bowl, mix 4 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of baking powder for every 4 tablespoons of flour. Cover with almond milk until the mixture is of medium density .Then add the acacia flowers and mix well.Butter a pancake pan and pour a ladle of mixture at a time.Serve with jam or chocolate.

...It's a perfect breakfast for a great awakening on the day of everyone's birthday :)
